PAYMENT & BOOKING POLICY
Payment: Hatha Equus utilizes auto-draft payments for all lesson packages. Auto-drafts billing occurs on the same date of your initial package purchase each month. Subscription payments are nonrefundable.
** The monthly rate remains consistent throughout the year. While most months include four lesson days (for example, four Mondays), occasionally a month may have five, or there may be a break that results in only three. Lessons are scheduled across 48 weeks of the year, thoughtfully spread over 12 months — which averages out to four lessons per month.
Purchase a Membership:
Please purchase a membership on our website which will give you access to view your account details. See details on our Hatha Equus Memberships page. Be sure you have discussed the appropriate membership selection with your Hatha Equus trainer first. If you have general questions or need any clarification, email [email protected]
Subscription Cancellation: To help us ensure a smooth process, we kindly ask that notice of subscription cancellation be submitted in writing at least 10 days before your renewal date. This gives us enough time to process your request before the next payment is drafted.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Weather Cancellations:
We do our best to hold lessons year-round, but safety always comes first. On rare occasions, Hatha Equus Management may determine that weather conditions are unsafe for lessons or roads are too dangerous to reach the barn. If this happens, we’ll notify students as soon as the decision to cancel is made.
If more than one lesson in a month is canceled due to weather, your instructor will offer two make-up options. If neither option works with your schedule, the lesson will unfortunately be forfeited.
As a general guideline, if the St. Vrain Valley School District is closed, delayed, or has canceled activities due to weather, Hatha Equus will also cancel lessons for the day.
Instructor Cancellations:
In the instance that an instructor must cancel a lesson, the instructor will offer 2 options to make up the lesson or the next subscription will be credited for each lesson missed.
Student Cancellations:
We understand that life can be busy and plans may change. If a student knows in advance that they’ll miss one or more lessons in a given month, (i.e.: vacation plans, longstanding medical appointments, etc.) and lets us know before the next subscription renewal, we’re happy to apply credits to the following month’s subscription.
Cancellations made 3 days before a scheduled lesson are considered forfeited and cannot be rescheduled. That said, if coordinated ahead of time, your trainer may be able to offer a reschedule when possible.
To keep things fair for all students, if cancellations happen consistently over a two-month period, we may ask the student to release their spot so it can be offered to someone on our waitlist.
Horse Owners:
Cancelations due to horse injuries, when there is no alternative horse to work with, will be refunded/rescheduled.
Cancelations due to a horse opting out of riding will not be rescheduled or refunded — as you know, riding is not our main focus anyway, and plenty of horsemanship training can happen from the ground or even from observing other students at work.
Our cancelation policy is designed to honor committed student needs, as well as to support and honor the well-being and workload consistency of our horses and facility.
